In Québec

I can never really enter into Making Fun of Céline Dion, because she reminds me too much of my beloved French-Canadian step-mother. The way she acts and talks is so Québecoise, and therefore to me seems very authentic, and reminds me of my step-family. This video, of Céline's family at the Québec 400 year anniversary, is not very different from many of the family get-togethers I went to in my teen years. (Swiss Girl can attest to that, she was at one of them, albeit in crutches.)
