moving along

My beloved blog reader, Bloglines, is shutting down. Usually I would take my time trying out a variety of feed readers, shopping for the best; but then my blog reading will back up, which I can't afford. So I just looked up what others consider the best and made the move.

I'm now on Google Reader, but using a firefox add-on of feedly to actual see and read the posts. feedly puts it in a cute magazine sort of format, and you have the choice of a formats.

This was Bloglines, which had each topic in a column at the left. (I have the blogs I read sorted by topic. I don't read them all, every day, though. Depends what I'm into at the moment.)

And here are the feedly option. This is "cover."

And "My Digest."

This one goes by who updated recently.

Or I can just choose a topic. Though there's always that column on the right that shows all my feeds, by topic (except in Cover view.)

So I think this shall do.
