Christmas Music: Joan Osborne

I love Joan Osborne's voice, and her first studio album (it had great songs beyond just "What if God Was One of Us"). But since then she's mostly done blues music which isn't my thing. So if you like blues (with a little country gospelly twang), you might like her Christmas album, which I just came across (from 2005.)

Let's get it started

Felt logey all day yesterday, and was finally exhausted by 2 AM. (So sad.) I slept til 10:30 AM and I am feeling much more refreshed today. Today it's Nano or Bust!

Here are my friend Garraty's nano stats:

Here are mine:

Heh heh. I don't know why there's a blue bar each day, cause I haven't written in a week. To finish on time, it thinks I need to write 3032 words per day. Let's find out how fast I can type...

81 WPM. (Told you I wasn't feeling logey today!) So in theory it should take me 37.4 minutes each day to write my 3032.

Hm. I don't think the creative process quite works that way. But all the same, I feel confident I can reach this goal. I guess we'll test it out today. ... ... ... If I stop taking typing tests and writing blog entries. Of course, I could just use The Feline Method for increasing word count:

In Christmas News:
I finally gave in and ordered a paper advent calendar today. My dad always bought them for me when I was little and I lurvs them. Not the chocolate ones--the ones with pictures.

But my dad also sent me a proper electronic one! Most online ones are boring, but my dad bought me a Jacqui Lawson e-advent calendar, and I expect it will rock. Her e-cards are always full of cute animations, so opening the doors on the advent will yield some coolio animations.

Here's the application, waiting on my desktop for December to come...
