gives new meaning to the word fromage

Has anyone made a list of the Best Early Videos of all time? Abba's "Take a Chance On Me" (1977) would be a serious contender for top spot. There's random dancing, and Vaseline lens, and insane fashion, and sexy winking at the camera, and weird jumping around... it doesn't get much better than this.

But Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart" (1982) is a prime example of Early-late Period videos, which was when the sets ramped up, but the special effects still couldn't keep pace. That period ended with "Sledgehammer" (1986). ;-)

Dear Blog

I found a web site called Dear Mr Postman where "MM" posts open letters to anything or anyone. I find them sort of too long, and therefore not as funny as they could. They really only need to be about two lines to be funny. Here are three edited-down-versions:

Dear License Plate “R U EZ”,

For the sake of argument, let’s say that I am EZ and that you are too. ...wouldn’t I have to be both EZ and QCK in order to make something happen before the light changes?

Dear Srsly,

You are sad and naked, stripped of all your vowels.... both humorous and sad, a Charlie Chaplin figure stripped of your ability to speak out loud and yet communicating volumes.

Dear April Fool’s Day,

I can never think of any good pranks. And I tend to spend a lot of the day feeling slightly confused about why people are saying things that obviously are not true.

Latest mabeltalk posts, so you can catch what interests you :-)

Where would I be without you?
