When you float your cursor over this cartoon (on the actual site) the comment reads: "Also, if you read his speech at Rice, all his arguments for going to the moon work equally well as arguments for blowing up the moon, sending cloned dinosaurs into space, or constructing a towering penis-shaped obelisk on Mars."

Scenes from a marriage - Across the Distance
Scene: Fernando is playing Word of Warcraft at his computer in the corner of the living room. I'm sitting on the sofa listening to Diane Birch and reading email.
Fernando - I like it when you play music while I'm playing [at his computer.]
Mabel - Why?
F - Because it's romantic. All these years I've been trying to teach you about romance.
M - Because the music connects us across the great space of the living room?
F - Exactly. It's what I've been trying to teach you. It's so hard to teach someone who doesn't want to learn.
