Ahhh the meeting I organized is over. Besides the 6 professors, about 25 students came -- the room I booked was packed and steamy. People seemed to appreciate it, were super nice about thanking me. And there are a lot of profs who are very student-oriented, happy to support the whole "let's get together and talk" thing. It is a nice dept to be in, as far as people go - it's very friendly.
I'm just sitting in the empty grad lounge, waiting to leave for the train, checking for any last minute student requests before I go home and ignore the computer... turn into a zombie and eat well earned fake cheese sandwiches.
