proof that the boy cat is still alive

The girlie is off napping somewhere. She usually sits on the chair down here, but she might be in a post-softies stupor. I even warmed her softies a little in the microwave, cause she didn't like it when I put it down cold yesterday.

Here's what JR likes:

- running all over the house
- playing under the blanket games
- playing cat dancer
- cuddling under a blanket (purrr purrr)
- watching the bubbles in my glass of ginger ale (for a good half hour yesterday)
- softies

When I was here last time I gave the cats a little tuna each night when I'd get in from work. The plan was, of course, to win over the kittehs, esp the super shy girl. JR was indifferent to tuna, but Sue Ellen was like: What the-! Toooonaaaaa! She'd greet me when I got home, and jump up on the kitchen chair and give me The Look. The Tuna Look.

This time I brought a can of softies, because it's a more balanced food. Well THIS she really recognized. I think she was a softies-eater in her former life. And now she's got JR addicted. They were running around my feet as I nuked it a little (cold food from the fridge is a bit sucky for cats). Meow! Me first! Softeeeeeez!

Simone's gonna kill me for spoiling them. But hey, soft cat food is way healthier than dry cat food. :-) Anyway, it's Babysitter's Rules. Mehhhh heh hehhhh.

my present amusement

I never watched Dynasty growing up--just Dallas. So I'm enjoying watching it; Swissgirl has the seasons on dvd. I'm still on season 1, it rocks. I love these characters. Jeff is starting to push back against Fallon. You go Jeff! But I hate Blake Carrington, it's hard to understand why Krystal loves him. He's so slimey and controlling! At least JR knew he was evil. Blake thinks he's a nice guy! Well, we haven't got to Alexis yet.

I love the 80s fashions--they're a *best of* of the 80s. The good stuff! I love Linda Evans feathered hair. Can't find very good photos though...

sleepies

I'm back at Swissgirl's home, catsitting. But I've discovered how to get online with my own computer, so I'll be able to stay a bit more in touch.

But now I must get to bed, cause I work at 11 tomorrow, which is like 6 am to me. Especially with this longer commute!

Back in Swissgirl Land

I've traded in one of these...

For one of these!

BACK OFF! Get your own sandwich.

I used to love this ad. I still like to say it.

And along the same lines, I like to say: That's my purse!

[King of the Hill: Bobby wants to learn to defend himself, and ends up in a women's self defense course. This is the result.]

eeeeeek! make it stooooop!

Ahhh! The story of me in bugs.

My annual ant invasion has begun! Armed with a book and a kleenex, I annually become unvegan.

I've said it before... I do not let infesting-insects get a toehold in my home. Spiders are welcome, flies I try to usher outside, the randomly passing silverfish or dust bug can go about its business. But fruit flies and ants meet with ruthlessness. I can't afford to try Nice Tactics, because once they set in, they're near impossible to get out. Ants, fruit flies and mosquitoes have adapted just fine to humans. The only pity I grant them is a swift death, except for fruit flies. ...They go into the garbage, still frolicking in their apple sauce trap.
